According to customs data, China's engineering machinery import and export trade reached US$27.134 billion in the first half of 2024, a year-on-year increase of 3.13%. Among them, imports amounted to US$1.297 billion, down 1.65% year-on-year, while exports reached US$25.837 billion, up 3.38% year-on-year.
3. The Total Bid Amount for Engineering Projects Nationwide Exceeded 1.56 Trillion Yuan in the Second Quarter
According to big data statistics, over 1,200 engineering projects/bid sections were announced and awarded in the engineering field in the second quarter of 2024 (April-June), with a total bid amount exceeding 1.56 trillion yuan. The top ten provinces in terms of engineering bid amount were Guangdong Province, Shandong Province, Zhejiang Province, Anhui Province, Sichuan Province, Jiangsu Province, Chongqing Municipality, Hebei Province, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, and Shanghai Municipality.
